Yes I know, Superman has almost every damn super power from super strength to shooting laser beams out his ass (OK I might have made that last one up but you get the point). By the creators' own admission, Superman is a tougher nut to crack than Batman. They clearly understood the appeal of both characters and tried to develop styles that would compliment the stories and worlds best suited for them (BTAS was crime and espionage stories set in a sort of noir, pseudo-past whereas STAS was sci-fi and adventure stories Superman is arguably the first superhero ever, making his debut in 1938. Batman was created in 1939. Superman influenced many more straight-laced derring-doers; he's also a symbol of hope for fans. Batman represents the darker side of heroics, filled with tragedy and revenge, which fans love, and other comics have mimicked. Seems even some Batman fans concede Spidey is the better hero. They are both brilliant characters and yes, the Batman comics are currently another league to the Spiderman ones and I think most Hear me out…. I think the reason he is friends with Batman is because he knows Batman is broken and Batman still tries.. I don't think Superman wouldn't see people in terms of better or worse. Batman absolutely would because…. well, Batman's not well. And they are very different mentalities. Like what if Batman said "he's a better man than Batman 49%. Batman has consistently better stories /series but Xmen has so many that they have more individual ones. 4 years ago. #2 Ghostodoofus2 Super strength, super speed, laser beams, X-ray vision, invulnerability, and of course, flight, Superman has just about every power in the book (including some very strange ones). A more powerful locomotive and faster than a speeding bullet is more than enough to take on a man with a heart condition in a metal suit. This Superman is better than Nolan's Batman who is barely a character much of the time and is cheesey. The Lex Luthor-Riddler-Prankster character is entertaining and works really well for the movie. He may be like the Joker from The Dark Knight, but he's different enough that I hardly notice the similarity. WUp3D.
